Clamshell Zipper Pouch
Create a stylish and functional pouch featuring some fun diagonal piecing and a curved zipper closure. In this class, you'll learn techniques for working with curves, installing a zipper, and creating a beautifully structured pouch. This project is perfect for showcasing prints from a charm pack and makes a great everyday pouch or gift.
Students will complete one large size pouch during class and gain the skills needed to make the full set at home. Pattern included
Please bring the following items to class.
Materials & Supply List:
- 1 charm pack for exterior or (10) 5” x 5” squares of fabric
- 1 fat quarter for lining
- 1 spool of thread for piecing & quilting
- 20”, #5 nylon zipper
- Soft & Stable or foam stabilizer 16” x 22”
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Quarter inch foot & walking foot (optional, but recommended)
- Rotary Cutter
- Basic sewing supplies (seam ripper, pins, clips, marking tool, pencil, scissors, etc.)
- Rulers
*Pressing stations will be provided
